This post's title is Swedish for "beautiful things for everyday life". I love this online shop and blog. It is called From Sthlm (Sthlm is short for Stockholm). Every month they feature a different independent Swedish designer and one of their newest collections that is available for that month only. I love well designed pieces that are functional and practical at the same time! Check out this month's designer, Maria L Dahlberg and her collection of candleholders.

Bobby McAlpine--Architect and Interior Designer

The Skirted Round Table has a fantastic new interview with architect and interior designer, Bobby McAlpine. He has such a fascinating perspective about the relationship between architecture and interiors. His architecture firm is based in Alabama and his interior firms are located in Atlanta and Nashville. Seeming to be a very philosophical person, he loosely compares the heart to interiors and the body to architecture. He builds the heart, then builds the body around it. PLEASE take some 'me time' and listen to this interview! His new book, "The Home Within Us" is a must have for interior designers and architects!

High Street Market is an online retailer on Etsy that I am obsessed with! Kelly Galvin Robson is a Southern California girl living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is an interior designer and blogger. Her eye for vintage finds is amazing! Her pricing is attainable and she just added over 60 new vintage items to her etsy shop. I am definitely crushing on those pillows...

They say there's opportunity in every moment.And when you come across an old barn, housing a rickety old truck- you gotta seize that opportunity, man!

I'll never forget that day...While the last few minutes of our "adventure" involved prying my husband away from the oh-so-incredible scene, the first few minutes involved some good old-fashioned panic.See, we initially parked waaay far away from the barn, and quickly found ourselves wading through a long ditch, filled with knee-high length grass, just so we could get close enough to shoot it.That's when the good old-fashioned panic kicked in.About halfway between the car and the barn, I started to visualize snakes.And I don't know about you, but once I visualize something scary, it's over.I had to abort "Mission: Barn Art"- and I had to abort it fast.So after a quick glance at my feet to make sure I wasn't already standing on something slithery...(no snakes, whew!)...I whipped around and ran-walked back to the car as fast, but as calmly, as I could.(Ya know- so that the folks in the cars driving past me wouldn't know I was freaking out or anything. I'm kind of a closet panicker.)Anywho, Kevin never looked back.He bravely forged ahead, and was able to get some great shots without incident.That makes him a hero, right?
